Why should you learn from me?
Over the past 15 years, I've helped hundreds of moms and girls connect to their best selves and overcome all of the obstacles that get in the way.
I've also spent years reclaiming my own self-esteem. In graduate school, when I started studying women's development and learned there's a specific point in time around ages 9-13 where girls' self-esteem starts to plummet, I had a huge realization.
That's what happened to me! I hated myself for such a long time of my life. I was convinced that if I were to actually follow my heart, it would lead me to certain unhappiness. But, what ended up happening is me being depressed, anxious and feeling stuck.
And, then I started to learn that all my friends, students and clients had experienced this in different ways too- from following life paths they didn't really want to, to not standing up for themselves in relationships, to similar issues I struggled with, like anxiety, body image, and depression. I was determined to change my life and help as many other women I could, fueled by the passion that I was NOT going to teach any of that to my daughter one day. (Even though I had always secretly believed I was way too messed up to have a child!)
I explored as many pathways as possible to overcome my own blocks with self-love and prepared myself to be the best woman and mother I can be. I started to share my strategies with moms and girls in private counseling and teaching, camps, workshops and yoga classes.
Successes I've have the pleasure to witness include: improved relationships, less stress and doubt, more joy and inner peace, more presence and less getting caught up in comparisons and 'shoulds', reports of girls feeling happier, better able to balance mood and more confident in friendships, and so much more.

Each session of the course is designed as a mini-workshop that you can revisit whenever you need. Individual sessions include a 5-10 minute interactive lesson, with accompanying exercises, activities and guided journaling questions, daily quotes and positive affirmations and self-care.
Part One - Getting Grounded
In Part One, you'll learn how to be more present and mindful and about the unique developmental changes and pressures your daughter will experience through her tween years, you'll get clear on what you really want for her, and gain an understanding of why your personal growth is so important to her emotional health.
Part Two - Be the Change
In Part Two, you'll focus on your own personal growth as the path to giving your daughter all the things you want her to learn. You'll build your self-love and inner power, connect with your joy and intuition and learn to forgive yourself for mistakes.
Part Three - Strengthening Your Relationship
Part Three is all about building a strong relationship that is prepared for the independence and intensity of the teen years. You'll learn conflict resolution strategies, ways to improve your communication, make time for connecting and how to bring more fun into your relationship.
Part Four - Honoring her Authentic Self
Part Four gives you the tools you need to support your daughter in the way she needs; one that aligns with her personality and learning style. You'll learn how to detect when she isn't being her true self, how to listen in a way that teaches you what she's really saying and how to help her build lifelong confidence.
