A bit of my background…
Here's a quick overview of my qualifications that are most relevant to these materials:
I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and specialize in depression, anxiety, trauma, and self-esteem. The recent therapy I've done with adults helped me learn even more what we need to teach to prevent mental health issues
I have a Master's in Counseling Psychology and specialized Developmental Psychology, with an added focus on emotional development, friendships and adolescent development. This filters into everything, but strongly when I write the copy that will go to the kids themselves.
I have a Bachelor's in Special Education for K-12; my specializations in this area are gifted education, homeschooling and project-based learning. This is what informs the way I design my curriculum and how it supports long-term retention and deep understanding.
Since 2009, I've trained for over 500 hours in Prana Vinyasa Flow yoga. This is also when I started heavily studying the chakra system. I've taken Shiva Rea's Chakra Vinyasa training twice, assisted for it once and also have taken courses in the history of the chakra system.
I LOVE CHAKRAS! When I experienced how deeply they helped me understand myself and transform my life, I started experimenting with ways to teach the system to kids.
I’m a single mom of a 6 year-old girl, Laila. We live in Encinitas, California with our rescue dog and 2 kittens make up our wild crew! Laila inspires everything I do and she also helps design the Chakra Kids World.
